This summer, OrangeSoda employees participated in a company-wide Summer Shape-up Program. This program included seminars, educational emails, weekly competitions, challenges, races, and fitness programs.
Part of this summer program included a weekly health challenge. Participating employees were encouraged to track their habits over the course of twelve weeks, after which they were awarded performance-based points. Employees were encouraged to track meals, snacks, activity levels, fruit and veggie intake, water consumption, and a personal health-related goal. It was a tough competition, but one of OrangeSoda’s MyPage Specialists, Jordan Price, pulled through and won $300, beating out the other 100 employees who participated.
Another highlight of the summer program was a Lazy-man Iron Man challenge that encouraged employees to hit the gym and stay active. Participants had to complete 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and 26.2 miles of running (the length of an Iron Man triathlon) within a three-month timeframe. OrangeSoda had over 40 employees complete the challenge and they were each awarded a t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and an extra ticket in our end-of-summer raffle drawing.
We’re proud of all our participants in the Summer Shape-up Program, and we’re excited for our next Lazy-man Iron Man in October. Thanks for all your hard work and participation, OrangeSoda employees!
