At OrangeSoda, we believe in small businesses. Heck, we believe in small businesses so much that we’ve built a significant portion of our business model around them. We have products and services tailored to the needs of small businesses, we partner with various organizations to help small businesses navigate the world of online marketing, and some of our employees even have their own small businesses. That’s why we are so excited to support and help promote Small Business Saturday on November 24, 2012.
Sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to helping small businesses all over the country. Supporting local, independently-owned small businesses helps to create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
My family owns and runs a small business back home in Hawaii. When I look back on what the store means to not only my family, but the families of the employees and the community that it has served for 30 or so years, I am reminded of the impact that a small business can have and the need to support them.
So here’s how you can get involved:
If you’re a consumer – Go and support your favorite small business. When you do so, you’re not only getting great products and services, but you’re also helping to create local jobs and boost your local economy.
If you’re a business owner – Visit ShopSmall.com to find great resources for you to promote your business online and offline.
Last year over one hundred million people shopped at small businesses on Small Business Saturday. This year, we are joining arms with other supporters in hopes that Small Business Saturday can have an even bigger effect. Get out there, Shop Small®, get your holiday shopping on, and make November 24 the biggest day of the year for small businesses.
To all small businesses, we Sodians salute you.
