I would love to come work for you, however… I just gradated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in entrepreneurship and small business. I have been accepted in a Masters program for Internet Marketing- this has been my real focus and interest as I have been looking into what kind of business to be in. The deal is no one will hire me because I have no experience and an internship is no economically feasible at this time. How do I “break in” to the field without misrepresenting myself as far as experience goes, because even though I have a great interest and have been doing self study for a year or so, I have no work experience.
Any suggestions on how I can break into the field? My masters program will be complete one year from now.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Thom, you don’t need to be hired by anyone to get experience. SEO experience just requires you to start a website and start working. This can be a great learning experience and can act as something you can point to.

Employers really like to see concrete examples of how you can work. What better than a well ranking website? I recommend you do something that can generate some revenue, maybe an affiliate site. Once you start to make a little money reinvest it in PPC and start learning how to do that well. Expand out into the other areas on online marketing as it makes sense and within a year you should not only have some good experience but you might have a revenue generating website.

Good luck with your masters program, which school will you be at?

of course like your website but you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless I will certainly come back again.
