Google Gets Wet

Google-Street-View-under-water

Maybe it’s the beach bum in me, but this may be the coolest thing I’ve seen Google do (aside from revolutionizing the internet, creating an industry that pays for my living, and all their Doodles). Google recently added an Ocean View in addition to their Street View of Google Maps.

I about shed a tear. The images reminded me of snorkeling and diving back home in Hawaii. Okay, I wasn’t all that close to crying, but you have to admit that this is pretty awesome. I can’t wait for Google to have my favorite surf breaks showing up. My productivity at work will go down dramatically.

Google…my hat goes off to you, along with my sunglasses, t-shirt, and sandals.

Kevin works is a marketing rock star here at OrangeSoda, and is obviously from Hawaii. Even if you don’t know him, you can tell he is from Hawaii, because he sometimes wears flip-flops, flashes the hang loose sign, and … well, he looks Hawaiian. Kevin gets away with things most people don’t. In fact, he could (and should) pull off a fancy mustache outside of the month of Movember.

I’m so glad Kevin got to write this post. It’s not often we get to write about Hawaii.
